20th National Conference of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) inaugurated
Expert speak: Dental Council of India president Dr. Anil Kohli speaking after inaugurating the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) at Narayana Dental College and Hospital in Nellore on Saturday.
Dental Council of India (DCI) president Dr. Anil Kohli has appealed to the dental college managements to improve standards by recruiting qualified faculty and arranging latest equipment in the institutions.
Speaking after inaugurating the 20th National Conference of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) here on Saturday, Dr Kohli said many colleges are well equipped in Andhra Pradesh when compared to the neighbouring States, but still th ere is a need for improvement.
Appoint qualified staff’Stating that the basic sciences are very poor in dental schools, the Council president asked the managements to appoint qualified staff and provide better education for the students. He appealed to the villagers to avail the services of super speciality hospitals which are located in rural areas and accessible to the poor.
DCI secretary Dr. P.N. Awasthi said he is happy to mention that more than 500 delegates registered for the three-day conference. He advised the junior dentists to give due importance to patients, who are their teachers.
